An Update on the Vision and Service of PlentyBooks.com
PlentyBooks.com was created with the goal of bringing value to the rare book marketplace. We accomplish this on many occasions by matching interested buyers (qualified leads) with a seller of that specific item.
Oftentimes a potential buyer requests the item on a different venue site than your site. The venue site allows us to address their need, but only through the venue site (ie, they do not provide contact information for the customer or permit redirection to another website). If you cannot tell the potential customer to simply go to another venue to find the specialty item, then how is it possible to provide them with the product they are looking for?
Well basically there is no way around it. You'd have to list the item on the customer's venue in order to facilitate the sale.
This cross-venue selling is what we do on many occasions, and have had much success with a 39% sale rate as of recent. We provide buyers with the specialty items they are looking for that they likely cannot find on their own, which is why they are asking for them. The customer's purchase the items, which is the goal of bookselling (creation of value). We shoulder a significant amount of risk and handle all of the customer service without asking for a commission (this is a free service). We are confident that we can increase your turnover via this proven method.
